A Victorian Blog Hop!

Hello all!  Welcome our Victorian Beauties New Release blog hop!  Today we have SIX wonderful new digis for you! I have always loved the beauty and elegance of anything Victorian, but with my own special twist! The Victorian Beauties were brought to life for me by artist Gretchen Flores. She did an awesome job turning my concepts into these "beauties"!

What's a hop without prizes and discounts?  So here they are!

Buy all six Victorian Beauties for $12.00 using code 06VIC12! That's a HUGE 43% discount!!! But hurry! The sale ends Sunday, August 8th at 11:59 PM PST.

One-half of all proceeds from the sales of the Victorian Beauties will be donated to Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda, California!  Please see "Betty's Story" below to hear why this charity is near and dear to her heart.

Prizes:

Three lucky hoppers will win 2 Victorian Beauties digis of their choice by leaving a comment on each of the blogs in the hop (including here). One of the blogs will be the "secret blog" from which the winners' names will be randomly drawn.

Betty's Story
When I gave birth to my youngest  son Jude (who is 21 months now), he was premature and had some complications. He was first released to us 9 days after his birth. Two days later he stopped breathing!  It was the middle of the night, there was a snow blizzard (we live in the mountains) and the paramedics couldn't get to us fast enough.  Thank God my husband has EMT training.  He brought Jude back after 3 minutes of CPR.

So back to the NICU it was for us for four weeks until about two days before Christmas. We were just so grateful as a family that we had this little bundle of joy home for Christmas. It was long and trying for us to live in a hotel while Jude was in the NICU.  We were too far away from home to keep going back and forth every day, especially with unpredictable weather. Plus, there was no way I was going to leave my baby!

As you can imagine, living in a hotel was expensive as well as difficult. There was a Ronald Mc Donald House nearby, but they were all booked up. We were on the waiting list, but never got in.  No worries though!  I was happy that they could help so many other families, and sorry that so many needed them. When Jude was born there were 85 babies in the NICU!!! 85!!

There were so many families whose babies didn't make it. It seemed that almost every other day a baby was lost. I counted my blessings that our baby survived.

So, here is the reason for the story about Jude's birth and the trials we faced... I am expecting again, and have already had a few complications.  However, all is well and baby is healthy. I know that my baby will be born at the same hospital as Jude, which reminds me of all we nearly lost and how blessed we are. So I want to help by supporting the Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda, California.

One half of all proceeds of the sale of the Victorian Beauties digi images will be donated to that Ronald McDonald House. I'm setting a goal of 100 sales of the set of six. Will you help me reach this goal? Thank you so much!!!

Well I was just about to rush off to the hop when I read your piece. Just had to go over and buy all the images to help with your quest. I've been really blessed, my kids never got sick as babies, but I really feel for those who aren't so fortunate. Am going on the hop now, but if I win you can re draw as I already have the set now :D XXX

Betty, what a wonderful story I'm so glad everything turned out for your family. Your story hit close to home for me. My sisters heart stopped when she was born and we lived in Ronald McDonald house for several months just to be close to her. I will definitely head over to purchase the pack. Lets exceed that goal!

Omgosh, what a story! I'm so glad your beatiful son is well & a happy toddler now. And to be expecting again must be so exciting yet so many fears again. I know how that goes. It seems like with every child I get more worried & anxious. LOL Comes with the territory I suppose! I can't wait to check out the hop and I KNOW you'll be making your goal. What a wonderful cause.
